Kamaraj College of Engineering & Technology

Our College was established in the year 1998. It is promoted and supported by virudhunagar Hindu Nadars' devasthanam, various Hindu Nadars' mahamai Tharappus in virudhunagar and other places and educational institutions of virudhunagar. The management of the institution consists of the elected members of various Mahamai Tharappus and ex-officio members of various educational institutions of virudhunagar. The office bearers, the president, the vice-president, the secretary, the join secretary and the treasurer -are elected by the managing board members.

Our College is ideally located on the home land of Karmaveerar "Bharat Ratna" K. Kamaraj and our institution is one of the Virudhunagar's most recognisable landmark. Our beloved Patron Thiru.A.S.K.A.M. Nagarajan magnanimously donated 50 Lakhs and Our Founder Secretary Er.S.P.G.C. Srimurugan has donated 25 acres of Land for the progress of our college. Our Institution is growing with sustained progress due to the generous contributions from Virudhunagar Devasthanam, Various Mahamai Tharappus and Educational Institutions. Presently, Our College spans to 47.36 acres of land.

Education plays a significant role in breaking the shackles of ignorance. It offers knowledge, knowledge that is not merely bookish or tutored, but the knowledge that enables us to achieve original understanding.

Educating students is part of the college’s fundamental mission. While working with them, I discover in many cases their education, stretch beyond the classroom and prepares them for careers and professional life. While our college’s programmes are rigorous, additional professional and personal growth results from experiences outside the classroom- in plant trainings, clubs and competitions.

Updating new skills have become the order of the day. Only a person willing to learn new things can see the problems and challenges in their right perspective and offer lasting, sustainable and comprehensive solutions.

Dr. K. Sarukesi, formerly Vice-Chancellor, Hindustan University, Chennai has a distinguished career spanning nearly, 49 years. Graduating with a B.E. Mechanical Engineering from Annamalai University, he obtained his M.Sc.(Engg.) in Production Engineering, from PSG College of Technology, affiliated to Madras University. He earned University 1st rank in his M.Sc. (Engg.) and was awarded a Commonwealth Scholarship by the association of Commonwealth Universities, London for doing Ph. D. in U.K. and he completed his Ph.D. from University of Warwick, U.K. in the year 1982. His areas of specialization are Technological Information System, Computer Simulation, Computer Application, Manufacturing Systems, Expert Systems and knowledge Management. He has vast teaching experience in various universities in India as well in Abroad. He worked as a Commonwealth Expert on Informatics in various foreign Universities like University of Eduardo Mondlane, Mozambique, National University of Science & Technology, Bulawayo, Zimbabwe and Institute of Finance Management, Tanzania. He has executed number of Consultancy Projects. He has been honored and awarded commendation for his work done in the field of Information Technology by the Government of Tamil Nadu. He is a member of various Technical Societies like Indian Society for Technical Education, Indian Institute of Non-Destructive Inspection Engineering, Association of Information System, U.S.A, Computer Society of India, and a Fellow of Institution of Engineers (India). He has published 135 research papers in International Conference / Journals including 60 in National Conferences / Journals.

         He is very congenial and encourages the faculty members and students to identify and recognize their talents and helps them to develop into good professionals

Sethu Institute of Technology

    

Sethu   Institute   of   Technology,    the   brainchild   of  our  Founder  &  Chairman,    Mr. S. Mohamed Jaleel,  has  been  rendering  its  noble   service  since  1995  catering  to  the  sustained  growth  of  the  educationally,  industrially  and economically  backward   rural  areas. The  college  started  with  180  students  in  the  year  1995  with  three  UG  Programmes has  recorded  a  stupendous  growth  of  expanding  to    the strength  of  4799  students  with  8   UG  courses  and   7  Post Graduate   programmes.

 

The purpose of education is to make an individual a unique personality so as to help the society with the vistas of new ideas.  With  this  focus  in  mind  and  with  the  blessings  of  the  Almighty,  our  zealous  SETHU   EDUCATIONAL  TRUST  established  SETHU  INSTITUTE  OF  TECHNOLOGY  in  the  year  1995  at  Pulloor,  Kariapatti – 626 106,  Virudhunagar  District  with  the motto   of “KNOWLEDGE, SERVICE, PROGRESS”.

  The  College  which  is  located  on  Madurai   –  Tuticorin  National  Highway   (NH 45B),  Pulloor,  Kariapatti,  Virudhunagar  District  is  just  12 KM  away  from  Madurai  airport.  The  campus  is spread  over  a  sprawling land  of  132  acres  providing  a tranquil  and  right  learning ambience  for  aspiring  students.

Sethu Institute of Technology (SIT) is an ISO 9001-2008 Certified Institution, affiliated to Anna University Chennai and Approved by AICTE, New Delhi. Our College has been conferred Autonomous status by UGC and confirmed by Anna University,Chennai,from the academic year 2013-2014. Our Institution was established in the year 1995, by the Founder and Chairman Mr.S.Mohamed Jaleel B.Sc., B.L., with a motto of “Knowledge, Service and Progress”.   The Founder and Chairman, Mr. S. Mohamed Jaleel strongly believes in the dictum that success comes to those who want and deserve it.  He has a great ambition and  benevolence  focused to the process of metamorphosis from illiteracy to academic excellence of the rural people. He had the urge to serve the needy ever since his school days. He was an illustrious student in St.Joseph’ s College, Trichy.  He came out with flying colors and joined law and was awarded Degree of Bachelor of Law by Madras Law College.

    With a vision to impart the  technical knowledge to the economically, socially and industrially backward people, the Founder & Chairman established Sethu Institute of Technology at Pulloor village, near Kariapatti in Virudhunagar District in the year 1995. He has been successful in his pursuit of offering quality education to rural poor as thousands and thousands of rural students are being   benefited by his  philanthropic attitude. His outstanding service to the ruralites has crowned him with many awards like, Communal Harmony Award by the Peace Trust, Kanyakumari, Best Administrator Award and Maamanithar Award by Victoria Edward Hall, Madurai. His service to the rural people is a constant endeavour that makes him a  living legend.

    It is this courage and conviction of our Chairman that has taken Sethu Institute of Technology to soaring heights within a span of Seventeen years.

Al Ameen Engineering College.

AL-Ameen Engineering College (AEC) is the Second Institution of Al-Ameen Educational Charitable Trust located at 13 km off the Erode – Modakurichi road, the amiable and well-developed college campus spreads over a sprawling 33 acres of land..

The College has necessary infrastructure and state of the art laboratories to offer world class Education.The unique features of AEC are Total Quality Education with complete discipline, Make our students for Industry wanted, innovativeness among students and all-round personality development of student.

The institution offers five under graduate B.E. programs (MECH,CIVIL, ECE, EEE, and CSE) from 2009-10 onwards.,We are happy to inform that we introduced Department of M.E.,Computer Science and Engineering course in this academic year 2012-13.Post-graduate Programs in major disciplines of Engineering and Technology, will be introduced in the subsequent years.

AICTE Expert Committee inspection for LOA has been completed on 04 May 2009 and the Letter of Approval (LOA) has been obtained from AICTE, New Delhi vide: File No.07/08/TN/E&T/2009/0713 dated 22/5/2009. AEC is affiliated to Anna University Coimbatore and Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions.

Vidhya Mandhir Institute of Technology

Vidhya Mandhir Institute of Technology was started in the year 2011 by a group of diverse people like Doctors, Principals, Businessmen and Eminent Professors of Engineering Institutions. Approved by AICTE and affiliated to Anna University, Chennai.

   Located in Perundurai – Chennimalai state highways Road, sprawling 12.59 acres ecofriendly green campus. Proximity to a metro city and being away from the hustle and bustle. The landscaping and greenery along with aesthetically designed buildings contribute significantly to the ambience for learning.

A.R.J College of Engineering and Technology

  The A.R.J College of Engineering and Technology started in the year 2002-03 by the ANNAI AMMANI Ammal educational and charitable trust to augment the awareness of Technical Education among the rural and economically backward masses .

      Qualified engineering graduates may thus be produced who could bear the responsibility of providing impetus to growing industrialization of the country.Initially there were only three brances of engineering i.e Electronics and communication Engineering,Computer Science and Engineering and Industrial Biotechnology.From 2003 additional branches viz., Electrical and Electronics Engineering(2003), Civil Engineering (2005),Information Technology(2007) were added.

      To mould the bright and brilliant minds may be easy; but to create an excellent technologist out of lethargic abyss is strenuous. It is being made possible by sturdy supervision and constant vigil focused on the laggards and honing up the talented students as well.

"Service to Humanity is the service to the Almighty" to serve for our society and to our native people, I was fascinated to start this Esteemed Educational Institution to impart knowledge. It is to improve the hardworking, weaker section of the society as I couldn't pursue my studies in my young days due to an Inadequate Economic Infrastructure.
